Why we built it

The reason this project exists.

A garden reno starts as a photo and a vague idea, then gets stuck finding a landscaper who understands it. We built a shared 3D workspace so the homeowner and the landscaper design, quote and track the build in the same place — not over text messages and guesswork.

Every BIXSO project starts the same way — with a real business problem worth solving, not a technology looking for a use. Then comes the model, the analysis, and the agents.

01 · Business model

It starts with the business.

A two-sided marketplace earns by giving the landscaper a reason to pay for access — while the homeowner stays free, because they are the demand the platform needs to attract supply.

  • Homeowners bring a garden, a budget and a location — free to design, post and hire.
  • Landscapers pay a monthly plan to respond to region-matched leads — the moment of commercial value.
  • A site survey and an itemised quote come before any agreement, so both sides commit on the same facts.

02 · Business analysis — the DNA

Then the rigour.

We modelled the real sequence a home reno already follows — brief, advice, matching, survey, quote, build, handover — before automating any of it, so the platform mirrors how the job actually gets done.

01 Processes
  • Guided brief → 3D scene
  • Region-routed lead board
  • Site survey checklist
  • Itemised quote → agreement → handover
02 Data
  • 3D scene (blocks, dimensions, materials)
  • Service region (state, postcodes)
  • Quote line items
  • Handover checklist + photo evidence
03 Rules
  • Survey before quote
  • Plan required to respond to a lead
  • Major-project leads (≥ A$50k) are plan-gated
  • Webhook is the only writer of paid status
04 Decisions
  • Which landscaper to engage
  • What the quote line items are
  • When the survey is complete
  • When to accept the handover

The rules that let an agent act without going wrong

  • A quote never gets written before the site survey is done.
  • The subscription gate sits exactly at the paid action — browsing and profiles stay free.

02¼ · Domain brain

The product becomes training ground for Bixso AI.

auslandscape is not only a product page in the portfolio. It is a field-specific operating surface: every workflow, record, decision, exception and correction can become evidence for a specialist domain brain.

BIXSO’s moat is the loop: build real products, learn from real activity, distil the field into an SLM, then place that specialist model inside governed agents. The claim matures only as the product evidence matures.

02½ · The architecture

The shape of the agentic AI.

Pattern Task & process orchestration A design studio and a marketplace, run as governed, metered tasks — not one bot doing everything.

A landscaping job is a sequence of distinct, real-world steps — read a design, advise on compliance, generate a materials list, answer a question in context — so Landscape AI is built as task-specialist calls into the same 3D scene, each one Energy-metered, rather than a single freeform agent. The scene itself is the anatomy the AI reads: block kind, dimensions and materials are structured data, not a text description guessed from a photo. Every AI action — advise, guide, chat — is one governed, metered call through the BIXSO Brain Gateway; deterministic actions (browsing the board, building the 3D scene) stay free.

fig. — task & process orchestration, the pattern behind auslandscape

01

The scene is the anatomy

Blocks, dimensions and materials in the 3D scene are structured data the AI reads directly — the clearest grounded-cognition evidence in the whole BIXSO fleet.

02

Every action is a discrete, metered task

Advise, guide and chat are separate Energy-metered calls with a typed input and output — clean to price, test and audit.

03

Human sign-off, always

The AI drafts advice and next steps; only the homeowner approves a quote or a handover — the agreement is a human decision, never an AI one.

04

Gateway-only, fails closed

Every LLM call goes through the BIXSO Brain Gateway with no vendor fallback — if the Brain is down, the deterministic rules engine keeps the app useful.

03 · The agents at work

It ships as agentic AI — verified.

AI reads the actual 3D design and the whole project state — then tells each side what to do next, with the reason attached.

A01agent
Design advisor

Reads the placed blocks and the brief, flags AU compliance gaps (e.g. pool-barrier rules) and estimates a cost range.

A02agent
Next-steps guide

Reads the whole project state — stage, team, decisions, plan — and tells each role the single next best action, with its reason.

A03agent
Materials generator

Turns the placed 3D blocks into a starting materials list with AU coverage-rate quantities.

What the product does

  • Guided 3D brief from a photo, plan or description
  • Region-routed lead board (post once, compare responses)
  • Site survey checklist before any quote
  • Itemised quotes and a photo-verified handover

Guardrail. Survey before quote, human sign-off on every agreement, and a subscription gate that only ever blocks the paid action — never browsing or building.
